My path to professional grooming wasn’t traditional. After earning bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Business Administration and spending years in the corporate world, I eventually followed my true passion: working with dogs.
That passion grew through dog rescue, where I fostered, rehabilitated, and helped place many dogs- including some considered unlikely to be adopted. These experiences taught me patience, compassion, and the importance of understanding each dog as an individual. They ultimately inspired me to leave the corporate world and build a career centered around animals.
I went on to build and operate a successful grooming and boarding business in Mount Pleasant, earning multiple “Best Groomer” awards. After selling the business and moving to Pawleys Island, I wanted to return to what I loved most: working one-on-one with dogs, building trust, and forming genuine connections.
My husband, Sergio, an Army combat veteran, has supported me throughout every chapter and worked alongside me as our businesses evolved. Together, we founded Knotty Dogs Mobile Grooming.

When we’re not working, we enjoy life with our four spoiled-rotten dogs, who bring us endless joy and remind us why we love what we do.
Today, we’re grateful to work side by side providing personalized care and creating a grooming experience built on trust, transparency, education, and genuine connection. For us, Knotty Dogs is more than a business- it’s the culmination of years of experience, rescue work, entrepreneurship, and a shared love of dogs.
